Project and information management

Everything that happens in a project generates information. VIRCORE centralizes it, connects it and makes it traceable — from the first document to project close-out — so every role has access to what they need, when they need it and from any device.

Links

Models and linked information

The 3D model is the intelligent core of the project. In VIRCORE, every building element can have all its associated information linked to it: technical documents, issues, assets, schedules... Access is bidirectional — from the model to the information and from the information to the model — letting you navigate the project naturally, without searching through folders or asking colleagues. Information lives where the element it belongs to lives.

Documentation

Document management and traceability

Document management and traceability in Vircore

VIRCORE manages the full life cycle of the project's technical documentation: creation, versioning, notification, review, approval and workflows. Every change is recorded with its author and date, building a complete history that shows at any moment which version is current and who approved it. Configurable workflows automate notifications and ensure no document is left pending review without the person responsible knowing.

Issues

Issue management

Issues in VIRCORE are not isolated tickets. Each issue can be linked to documents, assets and 3D model elements, giving full context from the very start. You can assign owners, set priorities and track progress through comments and the automatic logging of every change made to the issue. The result is full traceability of each problem: who detected it, what information was attached, how it evolved and how it was resolved.

Planning

Planning and costs

Planning and costs linked to the model in Vircore

VIRCORE lets you create schedules linked directly to model elements, so every task has a clear spatial and constructive context. When project conditions change, rescheduling is done with fully updated information, knowing exactly how each change affects the process. In parallel, the cost module lets you build price breakdowns, track spend linked to the schedule and spot deviations before they become a problem.

Reports

Dashboards and automatic reports

VIRCORE offers dedicated dashboards to view the project's document activity and issue status in real time, with custom filtering by date or responsibility. When the project requires auditing or reporting, the platform generates automatic reports with structured, traceable information, eliminating manual data consolidation and reducing the margin for error.

Permissions

Collaboration and roles

Collaboration and roles with granular permissions in Vircore

Each user role in VIRCORE accesses only the information that concerns them. The system of roles and granular permissions lets you define precisely what each user sees, in what context and with what level of access —read, edit or review— ensuring the confidentiality of the most sensitive information without sacrificing collaboration. The platform can be extended to suppliers and clients, so that all coordination and data management stays centralized and synchronized, substantially improving the interaction between parties.

Assets and infrastructure

Asset and infrastructure management

When a project ends, the infrastructure begins to live. VIRCORE extends its information environment beyond construction to become the reference system throughout the operation and maintenance phase: a single place where each asset has its history, its current condition and its full context, connected to the rest of the project information.

Assets

Asset inventory and life cycle

VIRCORE keeps a detailed inventory of every asset in the infrastructure: type, condition, location, model, serial number, manufacturer, supplier, key life-cycle dates — manufacturing, installation, warranty and end of service life — and commercial information. Each asset's record is not static. It is enriched over time with the documentation generated in every phase — manuals, certificates, inspection reports, maintenance records — and with the complete history of associated issues, so at any moment you can know exactly what has happened to that asset from its installation to today.

Infrastructure

Hierarchical structure of the infrastructure

Hierarchical structure of the infrastructure in Vircore

Complex infrastructure requires an organization that reflects its reality. VIRCORE lets you structure assets hierarchically by sites, systems, zones and asset types, replicating the physical and functional organization of each facility. This structure makes it easier to navigate, filter and analyze information, and allows you to manage facilities as diverse as a hospital, a nuclear plant or a wind farm.

Sensors

Sensors and real-time monitoring

VIRCORE integrates data from sensors and monitoring devices deployed across the infrastructure, connecting with external systems such as BMS and other building and facility management platforms. The captured data — temperature, energy consumption, emissions, pressure, vibration or other variables— is displayed in real time and stored with its full history, allowing you to analyze trends, detect patterns and compare current behavior with past references.

Monitoring

Detection rules and automatic alerts

VIRCORE lets you configure detection rules that continuously monitor the condition of assets and trigger automatic alerts or actions when abnormal conditions are detected — consumption anomalies, incipient failures, deviations from defined thresholds. Detection areas let you scope each rule to specific zones of the infrastructure, matching monitoring to the criticality of each part of the facility. The result is proactive control that lets you anticipate problems before they affect operations.

Digital twin

The operational digital twin

The combination of the 3D model, asset inventory, real-time sensors and document traceability gives rise to the operational digital twin of the infrastructure: a digital replica connected to the real state of the asset that lets you monitor, manage and optimize operation with complete, up-to-date information. It is not a static representation — it is a living environment that evolves with the infrastructure and becomes the foundation for truly efficient management throughout its entire service life.

Advanced capabilities

Advanced capabilities

VIRCORE is the technological foundation on which advanced capabilities are developed to meet the most complex challenges of each sector. These solutions are activated when the project requires them, leveraging all the information and structure already present in the platform to go further than any conventional tool allows.

AR / VR

Augmented Reality and Virtual Reality

VIRCORE integrates AR and VR capabilities that let you view 3D models overlaid on the real environment or fully immerse yourself in them from any compatible device. On top of that visualization, the user can access the information linked to each building element — documents, issues, asset condition — and manage it directly from the facility, without going back to the office or opening another tool.

This capability has two especially powerful applications in critical environments: field maintenance, where the technician accesses the full context of the element in front of them and can create or manage issues on site; and training, where immersive simulation makes it possible to train teams in high-risk tasks or in hard-to-reach environments — such as radiation zones — without real exposure, optimizing time on site and reducing risk.

Generative AI

Generative design and artificial intelligence

For projects that require design optimization under multiple simultaneous constraints, AI-supported generative design capabilities have been developed on top of VIRCORE. One of the most advanced applications to date is the design optimization of photovoltaic plants and wind farms: the system parameterizes the terrain conditions, the location, the available wind turbine or solar cell models and the client's specific constraints, and generates optimized design solutions that maximize performance within those limits.

These capabilities are offered as specific projects for clients who request them, not as standard platform functionality. If you have a design or optimization challenge that requires this level of capability, we can explore it together.

Do you have a challenge that goes beyond the standard?

Tell us what you're working on. We'll assess whether any of these capabilities can apply to your project, or whether there's a solution to build on top of VIRCORE.
